What to Expect

Our goal is to limit inconveniences to you during work, but you may notice these as we work:

  • Full, temporary and partial road closures and access changes
  • Traffic control measures like flaggers and yard signs
  • Workers and large equipment
  • Construction noise

Construction Process

  • Setting up traffic control around work areas.
  • Digging trenches or setting up bore rigs.
  • Stringing line.
  • Welding segments of line together.
  • Installing the line in the trench or bore.
  • Restoring the work area.

After installing the natural gas line, we temporarily restore the work area. Final restoration occurs as weather allows, like when it is dry and warm enough. We restore work areas to preconstruction conditions.

Natural gas service interruptions are not expected. If this changes, we'll notify you directly.

Improper or unauthorized digging near underground utilities is a common cause of natural gas incidents. Prior to digging, call 811 or visit gopherstateonecall.org to get help locating and marking buried utility lines.
